For SHOWstudio’s thought-provoking and groundbreaking project Bodies of Knowledge, curated by Nick Knight with writer Emma Dabiri, we commissioned photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga to create a special story titled Memories in the Digital Age. The work paid homage to post-colonial West African archival photography and traditional dress, exploring how cultural practices in Africa are remembered, preserved, and passed from one generation to the next.

Bodies of Knowledge brought together 50 leading international contributors, challenging and re-examining how the body has been represented and imagined within visual culture and fashion image-making.
