AXEL ARIGATO, LONDON
For the official launch of VOICES: Ghana’s Artists in Their Own Words, the debut artistic anthology by MANJU Journal, we took over the Axel Arigato Soho flagship store for an evening dedicated to African creativity and cultural exchange. Held during Black History Month UK in October (2023), the event coincided with Frieze London and the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair.
The gathering featured a chaired conversation between Ekow Eshun (Curator and former Director of ICA London) and Richmond Orlando Mensah, curator of VOICES and founder of MANJU Journal. The evening was accompanied by a soulful live performance from Roxanne Tataei and a sonic DJ activation by CKTRL, creating an immersive cultural experience that bridged art, sound, and community.
Services: Brand Consultation, Production & Talent Activation.
Special thanks to Axel Arigato for the generous support.
